One year ago today, we learned that Baby H was going to come into our life. Fast forward 1 year and here we are with our beautiful Baby Zoe. What a year it's been!!
We had a great family day together today. We headed out to John's Island for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants (the Fat Hen) and then we went to Legare Farm for some fall fun. There was a pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn maze and live animals. Even though Zoe is still quite young, she was definitely interested in the animals. See pics from our day below.

Zoe's a Doll!
We have been having so much fun with Zoe these days. She is such a happy baby and so much fun to interact with. She laughs, smiles, giggles, chatters, kicks her feet with enthusiasm and loves to play with Mommy and Daddy. She is such a little dolly!
Zoe's growing so fast too. I weighed her last week and she's up to 14.5 lbs. I'm anxious for her 4-month pediatrician appointment to see just how much she's grown. She's definitely quite tall - just like us! She's already wearing her 9-month pajamas because she needs the length!
Zoe continues to sleep really well at night. She usually goes down around 6:30 and will sleep 12 hours with one wake-up during that time to eat. She's still sleeping in our room but we're getting ready to move her to the "big girl crib" in her room. I think we'll miss waking up to the sound of Zoe "talking" to her bears (on the mobile in the pack n play) - it's the best sounding alarm clock we've ever had!

Better Late Than Never!
Zoe is growing fast and the time is flying by! Here is her 3-month photo...better late than never.
It's been a big couple of weeks since my last update. I went back to work on September 27 and had to spend my first week back at the office in CT. I held up better than expected being away from Zoe and Daddy did a fantastic job at home taking care of our most precious cargo!
The weather has finally turned a bit towards fall and it's great to be able to be outside. It was so hot during my maternity leave that we were not able to walk Zoe in her stroller very often. Last weekend we took advantage of the cooler weather and headed to downtown Charleston for a family stroll along the battery. What a great day! Zoe really enjoys her stroller and loves to take in the sights.
Zoe has become quite the "Chatty Cathy" and is full of smiles and laughter. We are having such a good time watching her grow and change. I think we've finally moved beyond the difficult infant stage and are in a really good place right now. She rarely cries and we spend lots of time interacting with her. Sometimes she giggles so hard that it gets us cracking up - I love it!! Zoe is starting to show an interest in toys and is grabbing at everything and trying to put whatever it is in her mouth. Luckily, she still sleeps like a champ at night too!
Zoe is still proving to be "Daddy's Little Girl" - see her favorite place to fall asleep:
