35/35

So we've arrived at 35 weeks pregnant with 35 days to go until our due date! Only 2 more weeks and Baby H will be full term.  I've definitely started swelling and I don't think that my belly can possibly stretch any further at this point (the skin feels so tight!), so I'm okay if Baby H decides to make an early entrance to our world.

We've had a busy couple of weeks - we took a birth class (um, I've learned that birthing this baby is going to be a not-so-modest process!), we've hired a doula since I am going to TRY to have a natural, med-free birth (although, I am leaving the door wide open on the pain meds if I need them!), we've been interviewing pediatricians (interesting process) and Dave did a trial-run installation on the car seat (yes, he even read the instructions!), so we've been quite productive recently!

Baby H is still very active and we look forward to "seeing" Baby H in our next and last ultrasound next week. I sure hope he/she has grown into those big feet that were noted on the last ultrasound!! :-)

Here's a new picture from today - looking a bit "puffier" than normal.

Heading for the Home Stretch!

With only 9 more weeks to go, I feel like it's really getting close. With all that we've gotten accomplished in the past few weeks it seems that we'll just be sitting around waiting for a baby for the next 9 weeks - LOL!

I leave tomorrow for my last work trip - it's a quick 2-day trip so it will be easier than most. As of this upcoming Thursday (when I hit 32 weeks), I'm "grounded" - the Dr. says I need to stay within 2 hours of home. It will be a nice change of pace to take a break from the business travel for several months - I just wonder how Dave will feel about having me around so much?!? :-)

I finally feel up to going back to prenatal yoga (now that the broken foot is healed and most of the extreme swelling has subsided) so I look forward to returning to class today. My back is starting to hurt and I'm getting a bit tired again, but other than that, I have NO complaints! Baby H is quite active and I really enjoy all the movement that I feel. I'm really getting used to it and I'm starting to wonder what it will be like once Baby H is on the outside and I don't have that feeling anymore. I'm really trying to savor and enjoy it while it's here!

Here's a new picture that we took at the beach this morning - it was such a nice morning!
