Zoe's Day of Fun at the Beach

Dave and I ventured out to the beach today with Zoe and Mike in tow. Once we got through the anguish of Dave and Mike putting up the beach cabana (LOL), it was a great day! Zoe was a real trooper. She didn't particularly enjoy the water but she did enjoy hanging out in the shade of the cabana listening to the sounds of the surf and feeling the breeze on her face. She even napped for a while. All in all...I'd say her first trip to the beach was a success!

Zoe Meets Her Great-Grammy

We made a trip to Rochester last week so that Zoe could meet her Great-Grammy. It was wonderful to see Grammy's reaction to Zoe and she really enjoyed playing with Zoe's "piggy toes". The plane travel was a bit difficult with Zoe and she was somewhat cranky since she was out of her routine, but it was all worth it so that Grammy could meet her. Look at the proud Great Grammy!!

Is Anyone Surprised that Zoe is TALL for her Age?!?

Today was Zoe's 2-month pediatrician visit and all went very well. Dave and I were a bit apprehensive since Zoe was getting a couple of vaccinations, but she handled it like a champ. I'm hoping that she has inherited my high pain tolerance. She had about 30 seconds of crying after the shot and that was it - such a trooper!

Zoe is 12.5 lbs and 24.5 inches. She is off the charts on the bell curve for height - basically, she's in the 100+ percentile and is the height of an average 4-month old. She's in the 90th percentile for weight. No small baby here!

Zoe continues to sleep great at night. She was on a 13-hour, with 2 wake-ups, schedule but recently she's moved to 12 hours with 1 wake-up. Yahoo!!!!! She does "fight sleep" so getting her down at night has become a bit of a challenge but once we get her there, she does great. She's also abandoned yesterday's "nap strike" and is peacefully napping now...thankfully!
