Zoe is doing GREAT! She is a BIG eater and a BIG sleeper at night. She's been sleeping 12 to 13 hours at night (with 2 brief wake-ups for feedings) on a nightly basis. I know that we have it very lucky with this nighttime schedule and we will be sure to tell her how appreciative we are of this when she is older :-) Although, I can't say that I'm completely surprised since I was the little kid that used to ASK my mom if I could go to bed!
Zoe and I have spent a couple of nights with her Grammy and Grandpa during the past couple of weeks. It's wonderful having them so close and it's a great break for me. They love to entertain, feed and sooth Zoe and my mom does a great job of cooking delicious dinners when I visit. Such a treat for me! Both Phil and my mom are completely crazy about Zoe (see pic of Phil and Zoe below!).
Dave and I are headed to Savannah for 2 nights for some R&R later this weekend. We're going to leave Zoe with my mom and Phil (let the spoiling begin!) - I wonder how Dave and I will hold up being away from little baby Zoe! At least we'll be very close to my mom and Phil, so we can always arrange to get her a day early ;-)
Next week Zoe hits her 2-month mark. That means another pediatrician visit and this one will entail some vaccinations. We are NOT looking forward to that visit. We are however looking forward to finding out how much she's grown since her last visit which was 2 weeks after her birth. We know it's going to be significant.
Zoe is so much more alert now and spends LOTS of time looking around (with her big blue eyes) and smiling at us. She is so interactive and loves to smile and "coo". She is such a doll and we love her to pieces!!
